Rules & Regulations
Attendance & Leave of Absence
Although the University prescribes a minimum attendance to permit examination entry, the College insists on regular attendance.
Only those with a minimum of 85% attendance of working days are eligible to appear for examinations.
Students must submit leave applications to the Principal in the prescribed form, duly countersigned by a parent or guardian (for residential students).
In case of absence due to unforeseen circumstances or illness, leave letters must be submitted through a messenger or on the day of return. Otherwise leave will not be sanctioned.
All scholarship / fee concession holders must maintain 90% attendance; failing which the entire amount must be refunded to the Government as per rules.
Conduct & Discipline
Students are expected to conduct themselves within and outside the college in accordance with the best standards of manner and behaviour.
Students should show due respect to the Principal and Staff and greet them on their first meeting of the day. Disobedience and rude behaviour will be severely dealt with.
Students must maintain the college premises tidy, clean and healthy, and abstain from disfiguring walls, desks or benches.
Students are expected to read all notices put up on the notice boards.
Cell phones are strictly prohibited for student use in hostels and on campus.
Students should approach the staff adviser for guidance and clarification on matters pertaining to their studies.
Disciplinary action will be taken against students involved in any kind of malpractice — cheating, copying, false declarations, or ragging of any sort inside the college or hostel campus.
Library Rules
The library is open to all members of the college from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm on all working days.
Students may retain library books during examination and Christmas holidays, and must return them immediately after examinations.
Personal belongings such as bags, tiffin boxes and other books must not be taken inside the library.
